BLOX, previously known as Bryghusprojektet is a project designed to transform the waterfront area between the Black Diamond and Langebro into a lively urban area of Copenhagen. It will be a multifunctional building housing; the Danish Architecture Centre, exhibition spaces, a café and bookshop, flats, offices, shops, a restaurant and a playground. The project is financed by the Danish philanthropic association Realdania and built by its subsidiary Realdania Byg. The Dutch architecture practice OMA, with Rem Koolhaas, is responsible for the architectural design.
